Similar to crimping, this styling technique can be accentuated by using mousse or gel.

The easiest way to duplicate this look is through braiding the hair. To avoid having the ends of your hair looking frayed, start by using leave-in conditioner on wet hair and then apply the mousse from root straight through to the ends of your hair.
